About us
Alain Gayet and Jean-Marie Alamelle founded ECOLLECT in 1997.
Installing our roll-away waste containers required the use of a lifting platform to raise them above ground for emptying. However, in the street, this meant covering the cost of the power supply and safety measures for the general public and operators.
The basic idea was to make a lifting platform with no motor or power supply and only provide motorization and power when the lifting function was actually in use.
The idea was then patented and filed in 17 European countries in February 1997, which led to the creation of the company.
A first product family called ECOBAC was launched as a result.
This was followed by other product families:
ECOABRI, a screen to conceal waste containers on pavements
ECOBIG, underground installation of large containers (4 or 5 cubic metres)
ECOTAINER, fitting pavements with 4-cubic metre containers
ECONET, a new generation of outdoor wastepaper baskets for pedestrians
The company also developed specific solutions, such as:
ECOHUILE, for collecting used mineral and synthetic oils
ECODASRI, for collecting health care waste
ECOTISSUS, for collecting used clothes
Ecollect is proud to announce that 1800 machines have been installed in France to date.
We have a team of 14 staff members at your service, including 4 technicians, 3 salespeople, plus a 2500-square metre assembly plant and an outdoor storage facility of 1 hectare.
